I was excited to receive my third and fourth acceptance letters on my birthday from St. John Fisher and The State University at Oswego. Looking forward to having some great choices and a difficult decision to make.
Here is the video of me making the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at St. Rose.
Today I attended “Be a Knight for a day” at The College of Saint Rose. After a bit of a rough start to the day, I got on campus and spent the whole day. I spent the morning with Theresa, an education major and went to class with her. We then went to a volunteer event, PB and Jams. Students on campus make over 3,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to feed the homeless in Albany. I joined right in and made sandwiches, which garnered me a spot on TV!! One of the local television stations was doing a story on the event, and while I did not speak on camera, I was clearly seen.
After this, I went with my afternoon host Julia, who is a psychology major. She and her suitemates showed me their room and we went to the dining hall for lunch. I talked with one of her roommates who plans to study I/O psychology. Julia was trying to register online for spring classes, but was having trouble so we went the the registrars office. Good things to learn about. I went to a class with her as well, and it was very interesting.
Both Theresa and Julia were great hosts and I am really excited to be attending St. Rose in the fall.
We took another trip to Siena College today for another look before I make any decisions. It was basically the same tour we went on last year. I guess I had not realized how bight the campus is. We did not get to see the theater again and we thought about going to see The Glass Menagerie which was being put on by Stage III the theater company but decided against it. Everyone from Siena was really pleasant and fun, I enjoyed my latest visit. With the drama coming up I am going to have to put the college search on the back burner for a week.
