The Giants opened the 2016 preseason – and the Ben McAdoo era – with an exhibition game at home against the Miami Dolphins on Friday night. Ryan Nassib had a big chance to show everyone what he could do as New York Giants quarterback with Eli Manning getting the night off. He blew it after a good first quarter. The late start and the pre-game rain dropped the temperature to 76 degrees at kickoff. We endured the nintey six degree heat and bus trip and rain delay and the bus trip back with drunks …. the least the G-men could have done is win.
Every year we have a family and friends “hang out” day at the track. A day full of good food, lots of ups and downs and a lot of fun. My dad and my mom went up to the track early and set up the tent and chairs and snagged a few picnic tables. My mom came back home to pick me up and pack up all the food and we headed up to the track. It was only a little while before people started showing up like my friends Garth, Katie and Kara and some of my parent’s friends. The first race was at 1 pm and a lot of people bet on it even me but after that I forgot to bet because I was having fun with my friends. There was lots of good food-everyone had brought something kinda like a potluck. My favorite was fried chicken and coleslaw. In the end everyone had a good time and a whole lot of fun. I slept over at Katie’s house that night and we had even more, fun watching movies and doing makeovers. All in all, it was a great day and I cant wait till next year when we do it again. Next year it will be my graduation party as well!
